Meet Dolly

Dolly Duran has hosted on Airbnb since 2016, when a group trip to Napa Valley turned into a tiny studio listing that outperformed every expectation. Today she runs Slice of Paradise, a waterfront home in Fort Lauderdale ranked in the top 5% of homes on Airbnb, with a 4.92 rating and Guest Favorite status.

Airbnb named her to its 2023 Host Advisory Board, the small group of hosts the company brings in to shape its policies, programs and tools. As an Airbnb Superhost Ambassador she guides new hosts through their first listings, and she is part of the South Florida host community that turns Airbnb’s Community Fund into trees planted in the neighborhoods where they host.

Her advice on responsible hosting has appeared in The New York Times, on Telemundo and on NBC. She holds an MBA and the SPHR, and co-founded Atelier 5 Star with Dr. Gershwin Narraidoo to bring Luxury Intelligence® to the homes guests remember.

Hosting is not passive income.

Reliability is the part guests never see. It’s every turnover finished on time and every question answered before anyone has to ask twice.

For investors

Building an Airbnb hotel or a luxury rental home? Start with a host.

Most projects are planned by people who have never turned over a room at 11am with guests arriving at 4. Dolly has. She works with investors from the first site visit to the first five-star review, so the building, the design and the operation are planned around how guests actually stay.
